Guide to Farmer’s Markets in Vancouver, WA

One of my favorite ways to enjoy summer in Southwest Washington is visiting our local farmers markets. From the lively Vancouver Farmers Market downtown, filled with fresh produce, flowers, local food, and handmade goods, to the charming Camas Farmers Market and the relaxed, community feel of Battle Ground Farmers Market, each offers something a little different. Local farm markets like Bi-Zi Farms and Silver Star Farmers Market are also great places to shop for seasonal produce while connecting directly with local growers. Visiting these markets is an easy and fun way to support small businesses, enjoy fresh local food, and experience the communities that make Southwest Washington such a special place to live.

If you’re looking for a classic weekend market experience, the downtown market is the one most people think of first. But each market around Vancouver has a pretty different feel depending on what you’re after 🌿 Here are some of my favorites.

Main Vancouver Markets

• Vancouver Farmers Market
  The big one downtown next to Esther Short Park and honestly one of the best weekend activities in Vancouver. Tons of local produce, flowers, baked goods, plants, hot food, live music, and artisan vendors. Open year round, with the largest market season running spring through fall.
• East Vancouver Farmers Market (June – September)
  Smaller and more relaxed than the downtown market, located at Columbia Tech Center. Great for grabbing produce, lunch, and fresh flowers on a weekday. Runs Thursdays during the summer season.

Nearby Favorites Worth the Drive

• Camas Farmer’s Market
  One of the prettiest little markets around. Held in downtown Camas on Wednesday evenings with a really good mix of produce, flowers, prepared food, and local makers. Easy to pair with dinner or a walk downtown.
• Battle Ground Farmers Market
  Smaller community feel with local farms and vendors. A good option if you are north of Vancouver and want something a little less crowded.

Farm Stands + Smaller Local Markets

• Bi-Zi Farms
  More farm stand than traditional market, but a longtime local favorite for berries, produce, pumpkins, and seasonal flowers.
• Silver star farms
  Great little Brush Prairie stop for local produce and seasonal goods.
• Flat Tack Farm
  Small organic farm with fresh produce and CSA options.

Whether you’re picking up fresh produce, grabbing a bouquet of flowers, or simply enjoying a morning out, our local farmers markets are a wonderful way to experience Southwest Washington. I love that they bring together so many of the things that make our area special: local businesses, beautiful seasonal food, and a strong sense of community.
